I'm putting together my second build and am almost done, but the extention lock nut (castle nut) is tight as bark on a tree.  I have tried to screw it on two buffer tubes and it goes 3 or 4 threads and gets super tight, I don't remember the other nut being an issue at all.  Is it a no brainer to just order a new nut, or should I put a little WD on there and apply some torque to see if she will  go on?

There's something wrong with it.
It should thread on easily.

Ditch it and order another one from Citizen's Armory.
They don't hurt you on shipping for small parts.

thanks - just ordered a couple of nuts.  Better not to screw up the extension tube to save a $4 nut.
