New Mossberg OEM 16" .223/5.56x45 caliber barrels for AR type Rifles. These high quality M4 profile barrels feature a complete inside and out Melonite coating, 1:7 twist and M4 feed ramps.

Anyone have any info on this? Been researching but havent really found much.


CMT 16" Barrel $187

16” 5.56mm NATO M4 stripped Barrel (No front sight tower installed)  Material 41V50 mil-spec, button rifled. Each barrel is thermo stress relieved & precision air gaged. Bore & chamber are chrome lined for optimum performance and accuracy, 1:7 twist rate with M4 feed ramps on barrel extension . Carbine length drilled gas port, muzzle threaded ½ -28.  Barrel exterior is Mil-spec Parkerized finish. Made in USA



Now they have been coming in stock very regularly. Which barrel would you choose any why?

This one because it's better then the 2 you have listed. Plus it's a middy and I know from experience that ST offers good barrels.

I have a CMT Tactical barrel, and it's a good barrel; also the owner Jeff has said if you do decide it's not for you feel free to return it being they have a no bs warranty. They are made from 41V50 steel. In my case I was looking for a 14.5" barrel, so I had them shorten and rethread the barrel for $50 dollars extra (does not include parkerizing where they make the cut and rethread). Being ill be blind pinning and welding flash hider to make it GCA Compliant.

thats awesome. Im leaning more towards CMT. Great price and the barrel looks great (specs). They have been getting them in-stock more frequently lately so hopefully I can score on one this weekend or next week. ALL I NEED IS A BARREL and my build is DONE lol

I have a melonite CMMG barrel, 1-7, a tack driver with 855, even with my old eyes.
