You're going to need a rail that uses the stock nut. ETA: there are some good options though. What kind did you want? |

What do you have on there now? The DD Omega rail is a 2 piece meant to be used with a delta ring…
Does it have to be one piece? Do you want a quad rail? The samson evolution is nice. Rainier arms and Midwest Industries also make a similar design. http://www.samson-mfg.com/ar-15_html/product/Evolution-11.html Midwest also makes a 2 piece quad rail that would work http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_ID=422 With the 2 piece you have the option of leaving the FSB |
| there is nothing on there now. i just ordered a complete 14.5 in upper group with permanent comp from BCM this morning. so im looking for options and im not a huge fan of the fsb. its a mid-length gas system id like to put some decent glass on it with some 45* iron sights for back up. basically looking for something of quality that wont look like i skimped out attached to the BCM upper. |

Ok, So it is going to have a delta ring. If you use a rail that uses the stock barrel nut then you will have to cut off the delta ring. It is not hard, and you will be cutting the FSB anyways… OR you can use the Daniel Defense 12" Omega rail https://danieldefense.com/rail-systems/omega-rail/omega-rail-12-0-rifle.html That rail uses the stock barrel nut AND delta ring. You just need to cut down the FSB enough to fit... |

I looked at the omega rail and read that it wont fit over a gas block... Has it been fitted over a cut fsb before? I have personally never done that combo. But they can be cut down pretty short (not mine) http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_4/495211_Cut_down_FSB_so_easy_a_cave_man_can_do_it_.html That person used a troy rail. I have an omega X rail on a rifle and it has a bit of room under there. |
