Quick question.  Most videos and guides I have seen state to install the trigger, then the safety and grip.  This is my first time building lowers, so my question is can I install the safety/grip and then install the trigger later, without removing the safety again?  Im getting some trigger work done so the trigger can't go in now.

Thanks.

Yes

I usually install the grip and safety first.
I install the trigger and disconnector and hammer last.

Sometimes you can't get the trigger in under the safety selector though.
It all depends.

With the selector already installed, you may not be able to work the trigger into place.  Each lower may present a different set of tolerances.  It only takes a couple of minutes to remove the grip and selector if necessary.

I don't see any reason why not. I have always installed the trigger group before the safety, but I don't see any reason you can't install the safety selector and grip first.

I cant usually get the trigger under the safety. just wait to build the lower until you get your trigger back.  Good luck on the trigger job

With my Seekins Lower I NEEDED to install the safety first and work the trigger in, it was the only way to get it done.

THE easiest way to install the trigger after the safety lever is to move the selector into, what would be, the Auto/Burst position.  In this position there is plenty of clearance for the "tail" on the trigger.
You can still do this with the grip installed; this is easiest done after loosening the grip to ease the tension on the detent so you can move the safety selector into the position I described earlier.

Cool, thanks for the tip.  And yah my seekins will not accept a gen 2 20 round pmag, but accepts all other pmags.  The tolerances on the seekins are not the same as most lowers...I have 6 different companie's lowers and the seekins is the only oddball.
