I've been compiling some parts for a few builds but need your help and expertise on the design. I picked up a spikes lower similar to this one:
https://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=330745191 I am new to building so I need help with functional yet appealing additions. Sky's the limit. Let the creativity take over. I also have a few other parts to start, such as DD LPK Wilson single stage trigger BCM 14.5 barrel (not married to this one, could go with another) Maybe SS and/or fluted, etc. Vltor upper (again, not married to it) Try to be as specific as possible with parts, that way I can begin the treasure hunt to find anything in stock I was thinking a combo color build, not just black but who knows. You guys are in the driver seat. Help me build a bad a** AR. Thx |

Really trick it out with these http://www.knsprecisioninc.com/gen-z-mod-2-non-rotating-trigger-hammer-pins-zombie-green.html
And this lower http://www.zombie-defense.com/ |

This EOTech has the biohazard symbol as the reticle. Pretty cool for a zombie styled rifle. You can also get a custom dust cover that says zombie hunter or something like that. A lot of people like bright green furniture for zombies for some reason but that's not my preference. If I were you, I would just keep it a black rifle and then add the zombie styled items. EDIT: I found this Spike's Billet Biohazard Upper that would match your lower in the EE. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_7_22/1112591____Spikes_BioHazard_Billet_Upper_Receiver____Spikes_M4_Upper______SF_BAY_AREA__CA.html |

As I understand it you have to hit zombies in the head to kill them so what better than a stainless steel barrel. I have no idea if the barrel is dimpled or not though so not sure about the lopro gas block installation. also here is a nice lower http://www.zombie-defense.com/index.html I personally have that lower and its a nice one EDIT: I see GoRebels already linked to that |

http://www.phase5tactical.com/products/ar15-m16/winter-trigger-guard-
this would seem to be an appropriate trigger guard, I have it and it doesn't affect trigger finger placement. EDIT also here is a cool looking barrel, i'm even tempted by that, but i don't know anything about the company or if the barrel is even a good one, maybe someone can chime in http://store.legionfirearms.com/Hex-Cut-Barrel-5-56-300-BLK-p/barrel_hex.htm |

You should consider attaching a zombie killing tactical scope for the longer head shots, and adding a backup optic like offset sights or the previously mentioned Zombie EoTech on a 45 deg. Angle for the up close, mass killing moments. You may want to install a bayonet for skull gouging. If you use the muzzle device for that you could find yourself trying to clean brain matter from your barrel before you can shoot. I would also consider installing a very strong stock to serve as a bludgeoning device should it become necessary. |

http://www.harengser.com/store/proddetail.php?prod=AR15_EJ_ZombieHunter then of course you have a custom ejection port cover, you can also get the engraving on both sides of the cover I already have the cover, but I love the infidel engraving. It says they aren't accepting custom orders. Also, I wonder how where I could send off my upper to to make it look like this one: http://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/receiver-amp-action-parts/receivers/upper-receivers/ar-15-m16-laser-etched-flattop-upper-receiver-prod41394.aspx |

And a nice flash suppressor http://yhm.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=33&products_id=504 Stock-wise, I can't decide, it needs adjustablility yet strong enough for the "bludgeoning" |

Perfect zombie gun is something with no frills, no extras, nothing special.
ONLY iron sights. No stupid bright colors, that have nothing to do with zombies, but more nuclear radiation and fallout. If you must have colors, gotta go with Damage Industries SHTF brown. Keep it stupid simple, and have a ton of spare parts. If zombies come, you wont be able to get a new firing pin or trigger group. Tricking out a "zombie" gun with all sorts of crap defeats the purpose. You need a 16" barrel, mid length gas with a bayonet lug. Nothing more. This whole craze with bright green being related to zombies doesnt make any sense.Just my opinion though. Keep it simple, not weighed down or so bright people can see you coming a mile away. |
