I have been on the lookout for a good stand to back my press up off the edge of the table and raise it up a bit. The only stands I found seemed to either have too large a footprint or just didn't have the design I wanted...
I started early this morning working on building my own. Started off with an 8" x 11" base and 4" x 5" top for the press mount, both using 1/4" steel plate. The riser is 2" tubular steel 1/4" thick as well, no joke on a stand that is built like a tank. Here is a mock up after welding and paint, just have to drill it out and mount it to the table!!! Works perfect, and even have enough space on the back of the upper stand plate to attach some sort of shell holder. All in all $45.00 dollars later and I think we have a winner! I've been thinking about making a few and throwing them the EE for 95.00 shipped if anyone is interested. If I get a few requests I may just make a run of 10 or so at a time.
