So I'm either going lightweight or M4 with my spikes build and need advise on stocks.  B5 SOPMOD or MAGPUL ACS or whatever the hell it is similar to the SOPMOD?  And is the B5 a good stock, I see it's .gov contracted??

How's the color match on the FDE to Magpul FDE??  Does it lock up nice and tight with no wiggle?

I like the CTR for light. It does match Magpul FDE!

Don't know about color. I have black only.  Zero wiggle.  It's the tightest and most comfortable I've ever owned.

BATTLELINK Minamilst stock from Mission First Tacitcal gets my vote. It weights in at 6 ounces. I preordered one. I currently run their BATTLELINK Utility Stock and it is awesome.

I was between the VLTOR E-MOD (similar to SOPMOD & $70 less), Ergo F93, and the SOPMOD.

Im going with the VLTOR E-MOD. Very similar to the LMT SOPMOD but more budget friendly.

I just found a youtube video of a guy comparing the EMOD to the LMT SOPMOD might be worth your time.

The government contracts for floor wax too...don't use that as your primary reason for choosing any manufacturer's parts.

The B5 is a well regarded stock.  Their standard SOPMOD stock is similar to the Magpul CTR stock, and the enhanced version is similar to the Magpul STR.  The ACS is a lot more stock than the SOPMOD Enhanced, but it is a really nice stock.  I like the sheet rest features of all of these stocks; the ACS is the first collapsible stock I've used that didn't pull my beard what I got a good cheek weld.  I'm looking for a CTR at the moment for my current build because of that very feature, but I might just go withi a B5 SOPMOD if I find one of those first.

I think any of the Magpul besides the MOE or CTR look kinda dumb on most of these AR builds people are doing. I can see the cheek riser in 1/2", 3/4", etc... but to me it looks like most people have some over the top sniper stock on an assault weapon. I dunno, to me simple is better, pistol grips and over the top stocks are a waste imo.

In regards, to the Battlelink  minimalist stock, is the check weld  area comparable a Magpul CTR?
Anyone has comments on their quality on their other products?  I not familiar with their stuff.

I really like a fixed stock.  I put a magpul moe fixed rifle stock on a rifle and love it.  I've already ordered another one for my next build.  Cost is about $60 and works with the a2 fixed stock buffer tube.

I have a CTR on my wifes gun and I've reeally reallly wanted to pick up a UBR stock, but $265 is a lot of coin for that part..

Oh the UBR is for sure going on my Seekins Precision build but for my so called M4orgery I was thinking the Magpul ACS-L or the B5.  Problem is right now all I can find is the B5 Enhanced version but watching youtube the ACS-L is pretty nice looking.  Looks are not my question I want  a stock that's going to lock up super tight with no wiggle.......

When things cool down, there are usually 15 or 20% off coupons at places that carry them.  I've picked one up at Botach and one at Aim Surplus like this.  The UBR is awesome except for weight.

Opticsplanet always has coupon codes running, I got my Troy battle rails from them with a 5% off coupon and free shipping.

Just recently became interested in the STR also.  How much different is it over the ACS?

My personal favorite is the Magpul ACS-L.  I found the ACS and STR to be too wide, but the ACS-L still haves a bit of extra cheek weld over the CTR plus a small amount of storage.  I've never tried the SOPMOD but it looks to me like if I found the ACS too wide, I'd feel the same about the SOPMOD.

I would rather have the STR over both the other options
