| I am not trying to be cheap, but I am trying to be cheap... What is a decent feeling 3-Gun trigger? I am building a 3 Gun setup with my stag 3G upper I bought eons ago. Thanks for any advice or experience from the 3Gun experts or competitors. |

You might look into a Jard trigger. Prices are decent compared to Gieselle and they are available now. Adjustment for take-up, reset, and different pull weights available.
I had one one on a bolt gun and it felt just a touch below my Jewel. I have a Jard on a Seekins build and i like it. |

Rock River match trigger. not as good as a SD3G Geissle, but pretty good. Yeah, its pretty hard to beat that RR trigger for around $100. The only thing I have remotely negative I have ever had to say about them is that in some lowers, the pins can start to walk out, even if they are oversized. Not too terrible though. |

Good advice & money well spent. As for the "walking pin" problem, here is a $5 functional solution: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/539753/dpms-anti-walk-hammer-and-trigger-pins-ar-15-small-pin-154-matte-package-of-2 For 3gun I am all about FUNCTION, not looks. The KNS pins look more cool, but do not work any better at stopping the walking issue. |

I run a Geissele SSA in my three gun rifle and used a Spike's Battle Trigger prior to that. I prefer the SSA.
The Geissele G2S is supposedly the same as the SSA in terms of feel and functions and runs a few bucks less. The RRA NM triggers I've tried felt very nice, but there are too many reports of reliability/durability problems with them. Not worth the headache, IMO. If your budget is very tight, you can try doing some/all of the trigger mods mentioned in the tacked thread at the top of this forum. Or, if the budget is a bit bigger, an ALG trigger. |

JP
I use the JP original trigger in all my builds. I think it is the nicest single stage trigger on the market. I use there speed hammers as well but a normal hammer could be made into one fairly easy. The install on them is easy if you follow there directions. |

+1 on the JP, I also have them in all of my rifles. Takes a little longer to set up than the others but if you are meticulous and follow the instructions you can produce a trigger as good as any out there. |

If you truely want cheap but still good, try some JP drop in trigger springs and the set screw mod. Excellent trigger for the under $20 total price. I even chopped my hammer to a "speed" hammer pattern, works great.

Ended up with a JP and it is very slick... thanks for the recommendations. You did well. That was the best solution to your requirement. What sucks about this trigger is shooting all of my milspec triggers again... haha With your mil specs, try the JP yellow/yellow spring kit along with the set screw mod. |

Well,
I've done the set screw mod on all my builds to date... Plus if you know what to do to adjust the springs or buy a new set if fine too... Most people ask me what trigger I'm using and I say regular plus a bit of tweaking... Most can't believe it's a factory trigger...but there isn't any gravel, very little creap, and breaks clean as can be... If you want to do this it's cheap...and nice! Use your noggin though...polish parts dont change the angle... Don't bend your springs till someone shows you how to do this as well...it's more of a feel than anything else...every spring is a bit different... Bret |

I polished it and it does break a little cleaner, but that JP has spoiled me...
