I recall someone posting about a touch up pen that matches the black on lowers and uppers and is almost unnoticeable.
Does anyone have info on this.  Or even better a picture of a touched up area so I can see how closely it matches?
Thanks

I just use a sharpie. It stands out a little if you REALLY look for it, but...meh. It's a tool. If it looks used, you're doing it right. Can also use aluminum black, if you must.

No no no it's got to look purty man.  In all seriousness I think we all have that one or want that one rifle that is pristine for show just for the shits and giggles.......

You could use Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black.  Here is a thread.

it almost matches. its like a very watered down paint pen and its more of a semi gloss and not a semi flat. doesn't match anything i have really.

Sharpie... Hell, I've used them to touch-up the bumper paint on my car before... Such a versatile tool :)

I have this, and it worked well on a PSA lower I scratched on pin install.  I thought I had the jaws of the locking pliers better taped up for the bolt catch pin squeeze method.

I did the same thing with my vise grips. I had a bottle of M-Nu sitting on my dresser and it matches just about exactly.

I just built my lower in my bathtub lol and I took a little bit of finish and I used a sharpie to touch up the spots and you can barely see it and before anyone asks I built it in the bathtub so the detents didn't go flying when I was trying to get my takedown pin into the hole

I messed up a grip I was using for a homemade bump stock for my 10/22. I used some of the knock off FlexSeal like the TV commercials. It patched the polymer pretty good. If you took just a bit on a q-tip it would do same on a lower. Just looking for a black color basically

It really depends on how nasty the wound is.
I've tried the "pen"...it's paint and it sux for matching park or ano.
We've all tried Sharpie...temporary.....color is off and can sometimes look purplish.

The sh!t that I've used with success for small scratches is B-C Aluminum Black.
That's the best I've found for small scratches.
It's a clear (blue tint) liquid that chemically stains raw aluminum.
You can even apply it with a toothpick following the scratch.

For reference, I just did some work on an FSB that would have needed a re-park.
Instead I rattle-canned it with this.
Looks just like park....too early to tell about endurance, but so far so good.

They're not all equal.
I'm hopin' "Gas & Oil Resistant" means something. (see label)
No reason to put anything on it but oil, anyway.
Harsher stuff goes in the bore.

I sprayed flat black spray paint on a piece of card board and took my kids small artist paint brush and touched up the end of a nicked roll pin and a anti rotational screw on handguard and it is almost impossible to tell I touched it up,
