"They" say for improved accuracy quicker ( it will eventually reach the same accuracy by just "going to town", NOT mag dumps ) shoot, clean, shoot, clean, etc until fouling is reduced. I, personally, clean after the first 5 then every ten shots up to 30 rounds. Don't know if it does any good but I've got in to that habit. It allows me to inspect everything at that point, BCG, barrel, FCG, brass etc...
[edit] yeah I know the math doesn't add up but you get the idea
