I am planning my first build and it will be a SBR. I have 95% of my lower parts gathered and am going to start collecting parts for the upper. I am planning on using a Noveske 10.5" SS barrel with a switchblock (unless ya'll have a better suggestion). Since this is my first build, I was thinking that I should keep it simple and use a standard flat-top upper and a quality forend (like a DD Lite), but I have been looking at some monolithic uppers and some side chargers as well. I would like to get the Hive's opinion on what to use regarding these products:
