I started my first AR build back in August 2011 with the purchase of a BCM bolt carrier group.  My plan was to buy parts when I had extra $$ but I sped up the process with all the craziness lately and have been purchasing parts when I can find them at reasonable prices.  I've deviated from my original "wish-list" somewhat.  Interested to hear opinions of what I have and if you would change anything.  I have everything but the fire control group and handguard.

Spike's Tactical Spider Lower Receiver - Fire/Safe Markings
BCM Upper Receiver - M4 Feedramps w/ Laser T-Markings
Rainier Arms Select 16 416R SS Barrel - 1:8 Twist, Polygonal Rifling, M4 Feedramp Barrel Extension
BCM Low Profile Gas Block
BCM A2 Flash Hider
Daniel Defense Modular Float Rail 12.0
BCM Bolt Carrier Group
BCM GUNFIGHTER Mod 4 Charging Handle
ALG Defense QMS Trigger
BCM 6-position Carbine Buffer Tube (Mil-Spec)
Noveske QD Receiver End Plate
Spike's Tactical ST-T2 Heavy Buffer
Magpul  ACS Carbine Stock (Mil-Spec)
Umbrella Corp Grip 23

Sounds like a sweet gun. If are rocking a beard, an adjustable carbine stock will pull the crap out of your hair. The Magpul UBR stock fixes the beard pulling, and provides a consistant cheek weld. Also, get some chrome silicon buffer, triger, and hammer springs. The are rated for 500,000 compressions, and literally will never need to be replaced

While 500,000 compressions is an impressive number, if that correlates to 500,000 trigger pulls that  means that they're good for $250,000 worth of ammo.

I guess stock springs are okay.
