Having an issue installing the firing pin retaining pin in my Phase 5 Tactical BCG.  I've tried multiple firing pin retaining pis that work in other BCG's but cant get them through the second hole no matter how much I twist or force them.  anyone else who has their Bolt Carrier having this issue?

can you push the pin through the opposite side the one you are having trouble with? If so, then just keep trying especially if you are using a new firing pin retainer, just use a really small punch to flatten the retainer when you push it through.

I had trouble with mine also but I used a small screwdriver to guide it in ( I put the screwdriver by the firing pin)

Try turning the pin as you are pushing it, worked for me on both of my Phase 5's when I couldn't get them to go. Trevor~

Maybe you can take some sandpaper to the end of the pin. Kinda hold the paper in one hand and turn the pin with the other. It probably wont take much to get it to go in. Super Blue the pin if you have any. The coating probably built up a little thicker in that area is my guess.

You could also take a punch size appropriate for the hole and just work it inside the hole a little. Maybe there is a bur or something that could use a little attention. It sounds like an easy problem to correct.

Then there is always the KNS Perma Pin.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I finally got it after pulling the pin out and watching what was happening when I tried to insert it.  Might just be the way I was pushing but the pin would angle downward and not line up with hole on the other side.  Probably need to take some sand paper to the ends of the retaining pin.  Appreciate the help gents.
