I wasn't planning on getting an AR15 ever. I was naive and uneducated. I assumed 5.56 was the only caliber and I'm not a fan. Then a friend opened my eyes to the 6.5 Grendal, the 50 Beowulf, and the gun I plan to build the 300 ACC Blackout.
I'm piecing together my rifle as time and money (read "the wife") allows. So far I lucked into a couple of New Frontier complete lowers for an average price but cheaper than the gun shows. One is going to be my 300 and the other I'm not sure what I'm going to do with (any ideas). I just ordered a Wilson Combat stainless, fluted 18" barrel, block, and gas tube. I'm using Brownell's parts list that you can print off of their website to make sure I have everything and check it in as I get it. Any other advice from the veteran's? Pics later when I get all my daughter's pictures off the camera or a new memory card one. |
