[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Vltor Receiver Profile??

Hey Guys,

I'm looking at buying a Double Diamond lower off a guy and he says it machined in the Vltor profile. I see that this a legitimate option on DD's website, but what does this mean? Does it matter? I can't seem to find any info on it.

It just means that some of the contours on the lower receiver will "line up" with those found on Vltor upper receivers. It should still pin together as normal.

Alright, thanks for letting me know. I just wanted to make sure Vltor didn't do something goofy like make their upper/lower pairs a different width or something.
