I have wanted to build my own AR for several years and have finally got around to doing so. I started about 4 months ago and have been stacking parts in my safe ever since. I have a spikes stripped lower with a MIAD LPK from Palmetto State. I have a Noveske Vltor MUR from Rainier Arms with a FailZero BCG on backorder. I also have a Magpul CTR stock kit from Larue on backorder. When they came in stock yesterday I ordered a BCM 16" barrel, MOD 4 gunfighter, and low profile gas block. I found a newer gun store close three weeks ago that had just received 300 PMAGS so I stocked up along with an AFG, BAD lever and some MBUS sights. All I need is a rail system.
I have been doing some research and have concluded that not all rail systems will work with the MUR. I would really like to find a Noveske SWS rail but will likely get the Fortis Rev 12" rail. What is involved in cutting off the anti rotation tabs? Can someone recommend a rail that will cover a midlength gas system with wont need cut up? I like the idea of the Noveske NSR but dont love the look. |
