Hey Guys,
I searched on the forum and on google without much luck. I'd like to start a new AR build, but with a piston system this time around. I'd also like to use a side charging handle. I would most likely need to have the handle attached to the bolt carrier, since I have not seen any that already some with it. Is there somewhere I can send the bolt carrier to have the work done? I'd like to use the MEGA billet side charging upper received in conjunction with this. Any help is greatly appreciated. |

They use a side charging BCG

| other options that you can get with or without the bolt carrier would be the grizzly LAR OPS 4, or one from American spirit arms. I have a ASA side charge upper i bought used on the forums here. I haven't shot it yet. The think i like about the ASA over other side charge uppers is the charge handle is non reciprocating. The down side to that is you can't use it as a forward assist. |
| Read OPs first post.....he wants a piston system. Most piston systems use a specially designed bolt carrier that does not have side charging handle provisions. You would most likely have to take the carrier that comes with the piston system and add your own handle and matching upper receiver with an appropriate slot for the handle to reciprocate in. |

This would be great if I were building another DI rifle. |

Exactly what I discovered after posting this questions. http://moarefinishing.com/ These guys will add the side charge handle to the bolt carrier for $75. Money well spent in my book |
