And now it starts!  I've been wanting an AR style rifle for some time now and finally I just purchased a lower receiver to start my first build.  I don't own any AR rifles so this will be a big learning experience.  My goal is to have a varmint/long range rifle.

I've started off with a Rainier Arms Lower Receiver that I purchased locally.  I'm looking at the Wilson Combat Uppers.  Anybody have any experience with these?  The reviews I've read were pretty good.  They seem to have a nice fit to other components and they aren't outrageously expensive.

I've already ordered the BCG.  I picked it up from Core 15.  The bolt carrier and bolt are Nickel Boron coated and from what I've read, almost indestructible.  Click Here to seee the BCG
The BCG came with an Olive Drab charge handle.  If anyone has a black charge handle and wants to trade, let me know.

I've also ordered the LPK from Wilson Combat.  You can see it here.

All in all, I've found a ton of advice, reviews and deals on this site and can't wait to get building!

Thanks to everyone who posts on this site to provide info for the noobs like myself!

Thanks PropDoc.  The LPK didn't go as smoothly as planned.  The bolt release lever roll pin wouldn't fit and I bent the first one trying to get it in.  I ordered another from AR-15 Express and it went right in.  It wasn't sloppy, it still had a tight fit, just not so tight that it wouldn't go in.  I also ordered a buffer end plate, come to find out that with a Magpul PRS, you don't need one.  I was hoping to upload a picture but I see that I have to provide a link to it.  I'll have to figure this out.
