Tonight I drilled and pinned my first Front sight base. It was bit of a pain in the ass to align it and get it clamped. But after that all went well!

I didn't take pics of the process, but I made a holder for the barrel extension out of a block of aluminum. That took a bit of time. But should now save time if I ever do another. I followed this tutorial. http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=3&f=123&t=470461 The only real difference is that mine was not pre drilled.

The jig would have been helpful..... BCM was out of stock.... and at 50 its pretty pricey.

Sorry I didn't give many details on the process guys, I have been pretty busy and was just happy to get it done.
I got the upper together tonight and took some pics of that!

This is the block i made to hold the extension.
