Just a quick question. Is the scope mount backwards for a reason?
The rifle looks great, good job.

Your BUIS have a short sight radius.  I would mount them on the top rail if possible and have your back sight as far back as you can...

Don't count me 100% sure on this but I am sure your BUIS mounts are on wrong.  They are suppose to mount to the top picatinny rail and go to the right.  Not from the side up.  Your not alligned at all with the barrel there.

Barman, I wondered about that myself. I have seen it both ways, and I have asked a few ppl about the proper way (to no avail)  I have not shot it in this configuration yet (using BUIS). I will when I get a chance try both options. But I am interested in any help or suggestions that you may have on this topic.

I am aware of the mount being backwards, I tried turning it around and it made the rifle feel very "unbalanced". This is not the mount that I wanted its the mount that I could find on short notice before a hog hunting trip I went on. It is by all means a "block". I will be upgrading to a JP ASAP! which I think will help my problem tremandously. It does how ever shoot very well in this form. it does look a little funky! but my father has always told me "function over looks whens the battle"
once again any ideas to make it better would be great! I might also try my hand at some custom metal work on this old scope mount when the new one gets here!

You'll be better off with your front and rear sights as far apart as possible (this is your sight radius).

The optic mount looks to be too tall for the optic.

HAHAHA Thankfully my spikes upper logo is covered by my magpul mbus. But the sticker on my safe has never looked the same…...

I have a very nice spikes build that I really enjoy shooting...but I won't buy another spikes product after hearing about the logo.  Nothing against the quality of spikes...I just can't stand always seeing the "dueling dildos of death" every time I look at it

I like it.

The spider looks like a cat's face on the side with whiskers. A very patriotic cat

Sights are normally offset like that on 3 gun rigs.  It facilitates a quick transition from long range targets where the magnified scope is needed, and close in targets where the irons are the fastest option for engagement.  Otherwise the shooter would need to remove the magnified optic in order to even see the front sight.

Here is a pic of the sights in use:
