Well guys I wanted to make this for anyone considering an LRB arms lower or a Del-ton upper.
This is my first build and I didn't have a lot of cash. I wanted an all metal rifle, not a polymer lower. I liked the LRB lower because of the logo, because it is stamped "US Rifle", and because of their M14s reputation. I liked the Del-ton upper because it was cheap ($400 for complete) and it had all the little features (forward assist, dust cover, m4 profile barrel, and brass deflector). It was my first build so I marked up the lower a little getting the pins in. I used a dpms lower kit. The add-ons I've gotten are: a Magpul CTR stock, quad rail, Magpul RVG, Ergo grip, a UTG bipod, and a Miculek muzzle brake. I also stole a Leapers 3-9x32mm scope off one of my 22s to try it out. I plan on getting an EoTech when I can afford one. After about 500 rounds I haven't had a SINGLE issue. No misfires, FTFs, or FTEs. It surprised me because Del-ton (from the reviews I read) is not known for their quality. Even with that POS Leapers scope I'm getting 1 1/2 groups at 100 yards. I'm also using standard 20 rd usgi mags I got at a gun show for $5 a piece with no aftermarket follower. If you're considering a Del-ton upper or an LRB arms lower, buy it. |

I have a Del-Ton Mid length kit that is top notch in every way but I bought it before things got crazy. I looked at a new Del-Ton kit in a local store and I must say they have just about hit bottom on quality. Can you expand on this? What did you see exactly that made you say.... Hmmmm. |
