I am working on a light weight build, I want a 12" rail, the lightest I have come accross so far is seekins/spikes SAR at 12.26oz.

Anyone know of anything lighter?

I think that's the lightest quad rail available at this time.  I'm in the same boat as you –– thinking of a 14.5 pencil barrel/LP gas block and a seekins 12" SAR rail.  Spikes Dynacomp for the muzzle device.

Might want to look into Midwest Industries Gen 2 SS if you want lightweight. Its not a quad rail but it does have a single top rail and you can add small rail sections for things like lights or grips. The 12" weighs in at 9.3oz

Midwest Industries SS-series 12" rail comes in at 9.7oz with no rails attached, or 10.8oz with rail kit attached.

samson evo or rainier arms equivalent (both made by samson).  the rainier is lighter.

my last great build was a 14.5 LW sabre upper with a samson evo 12.37 and it was SUPER LIGHT.  I loved it.  Had I not been going through a divorce, I'd still own it. . . and am now in the process of building my second one.

I've got 2 of the gen 1 Midwest industries SS-12s. They are very light and solid as a rock. MI makes great light rails.

Troy TRX Extreme is lightest.  Also you could check out Daniel Defense and Noveske rails.  These types will be your lightest.

Ditto.  My 9" Midwest Industries SS gen 2 weighs 7.2 oz including its steel barrel nut.  It comes with some short rail sections you can add as needed.  Best of all, its very thin, 1.5" side to side. - CW
