I am building a few AR's,,, and I am as stuck as a Marine in whorehouse.  Semper Fi

I'm gonna buy my barrels plain jane, no FSB. 16"
I want to use conventional handgaurds, but I cant determine what Gas Block hold on the end cap.
All the AR's are gonna be m4's,  working off PSA m3 flattop, and PSA lowers.
These are all Christmas gifts, and gonna have Red dot's on em.
I would like them to be able to add a front site on them if ever they wanted to.

hmmm.... I'm gonna buy a carry handle for mine, and of course, I'd like to be able to be able to match
up my front site to the carry handle.

Thanks to all, an may the Beer Gods be good to all,

I have found some gass blocks but don't think they would work well, most I am finding ar held on by set screws.....
I'm not a cheap skate, but I am finding them to be 50 bucks and up.... for a 4 dollor peice of Chinese steel.
I saved a few bucks on the barrels by not haveing a FSB... and gonna spend more then I saved.

I have 6 of these thing's to build....grrrrr

Have you considered going piston operated? If you got the plain bbl's would be easy (more expensive though) to go with piston operation.

Naw Man.... really didn't want to go the extra miles.

I personally really like the regular handgaurds, I don't care for the fat ones I have been seeing,  I Like the thinner ones.

I just want to build a few decent rifles, I'd like to stay around PSA quality, I'm building 4 for the kids ( 20ish) , 1 for me,

and one for my Pops.  They are all geting optics, I like my irons. I am saving about 35 bucks a barrel with no FSB.

I am looking for a gas block, with a pitnney rail (would be nice),  but basically one that will hold on the front handgaurd cap.

Butt, If I must pimp out my oldladie to do this.......hmmmmmm......ok, I will.

Thanks for trying to help, Semper Fi bro

Fixed.
Fuk those cheesey railed gas blocks.
Buy the barrels with pinned FSBs.

Only problem with that logic is that it will cost them a LOT more if they want an FSB later on down the line (easily $100 to have one installed).  Personally I'd just do the PSA maddness sale and do the fixed FSB.

I did the same as you are doing.  I used the railed gas blocks from Surplus Ammo and Arms.  I have never heard of anyone complain about their gas blocks, so I don't believe you will have any problems, provided you properly torque and loctite the clamping screws.

I'd love to buy all u guys a few beers,,,, thank you all for all the help!!!!!!!

Maybe I can even get laid tonight.

gonna go with the gass blocks to hold the front handgaurd Cap in place.

I have 1 more ????,  I want to use the skinny CAR handgaurds, in stead of the fat M4 ones.
are the handgaurd caps the same for both styles?

 Thanks,
     Mark

All handguard caps are the same.  Some are round and some are triangular but they will all work.

Also, any gas block will hold the cap in place.  The gas tube keeps it from spinning, and the gas block pushes it against the ledge on the barrel.
