Building a light weight AR. Getting ready to get the JP LMOS carrier and buffer, but what about the buffer spring.  Is it worth it to get a JP spring (the $19 one, not the $120 spring system).  Or would a standard carbine spring be fine?
Thanks.

The JP spring should help with reliability since th BCG has less momentum.  It should still run with a standard spring, although I never have.

GTG with mil-spec.  I run a LMOS with a standard carbine buffer spring no problems.

As posted above, It works with a standard spring, but should also work with the JP spring.

The JP Lo-mass system is not intended for use on a "light weight" build. It is designed for use on competition rifles.
