I bought the New Frontier complete lower just to try it out. I have no connection with New Frontier and Im not trying to sell you on it or scare you away from it.

First impressions
  WOW it feels really light
Looks are on par but color dont match uppers
  Takedown pins feel cheap
Locked up really solid on upper
Trigger is very smooth but a little heavy
Stock locks up tight but it does rattle a little
Light weight makes upper feel a little out of balance
Thin barrel upper might help the balance
Mags will not drop free but it feels like just a break in issue

I have not had the chance to shoot with this lower yet but I keep you guy informed with updates as I get the chance to use it.

Thanks for the report out.  Id like to get more  after a few hundred rounds have gone through it.

Almost 4000 through mine now.  1000 centerfire rifle, mostly 5.45x39, couple hundred 5.56, and 3000 22lr.

Only problem has been that the pistol grip screw was stripped, so the pistol grip started coming loose during firing.  It's loctited into place for now, have to take it out again to see if that fixed it, or if I need to use a thread repair insert.

You talking about their plastic lower?

Yes Im talking about the LW15 lower. Its New Frontier's polymer lower. For the low cost of 109.00 you get a complete lower. I am suppose to go to the range tomorrow as long as things go as planned, I should be able to post my first range report with it. Oh it is mounted to a 5.56 upper and I will be shooting green tip and tula ammo tomorrow.

First range report

Only fired 100rds total. 50 Tula and 50 green tip.

Fire control group work with 0 malfunctions. Trigger is still a little heavy but very smooth. Stock locked up good with just a little rattle. Mags still not falling free but after several mag changes at home and at range it is getting a little looser.

Balance is still a slight issue (feels barrel heavy) as I have not gotten use to it yet.

I don't have the collapsible stock on mine because it's illegal in NY on a post ban lower. I put a sully stock on it, which is pretty heavy. I have not had anyone notice it was not a regular AR when first handling it.

I bought 3 from Joe Bob's last month ($ 109 free shipping) - 2 going in the safe unused. Took one to the range in stock configuration (polymere trigger & hammer) it ran fine with Tula & Monarch (Barnul), Magpul & C-Products mags dropped free, ran fine with a dedicated CMMG 22 upper (ran 6 - 26rd mags rapid fire). Brought it home and changed the hammer & trigger to a standard w/ 15 minute trigger job (polished & leg snipped). Took it back out - just as reliable. I love em & recommend them.
