Very nice looking rifle!
That said, I would have ordered the lpk from PSA without the fcg and gotten a better trigger because you'll want one later. I would have skipped the Kies bolt carrier and either gone with a regular AR15/M16 bcg with mil-spec bolt or preferably the JP LMOS bcg for smoother impulse/function. I also wouldn't have worried about the buffer spring at this point. |

Thanks everyone!

looks good. did u loctite the extension nut or shave the back? moparjake shaved the back of mine, installed it like a firebird or carbon arms tube Loctite, it was tricky getting the hand guard nut timed correctly with the barrel nut, but I got everything together without any trimming. Quoted:

I'll definitely be going for a drop in trigger eventually, but that's an easy upgrade down the road. Those LMOS carriers are pretty crazy, I hadn't seen those before. The spring does wonders, and at $20 why not. Quoted:
I went with a Geissle SD 3G trigger, and really like it. I'll keep that in mind when I start looking at drop ins. Quoted:
Beautiful! How does it balance after all that work you did on slimming down the barrel profile? I hope you update this with some accuracy tests? The rifle weighs in at 8 lbs 2.5 oz, and it'll just about balance at the barrel nut, if not tip back towards you. I'll upload some pictures tonight, but I'm just over 1 MOA at 100 and 200 yards, with PMC Bronze target rounds. |

It isn't NiB as I understand it. They also use harder steel for their bolts. Their triggers are very good. The original JP trigger for $120 has just a little bit more work to them but nothing I would think out of your abilities, just an extra few minutes. Otherwise the EZ trigger just needs the set screws adjusted. Zero creep, very little over travel, and the best/cleanest break I have experienced. It has the ability to have the shortest overall trigger travel when adjusted right. |
