After years of pokin' around the forum for inspiration and researching different parts, my first build is almost finished! All I need is a handguard and a front sight.
Upper parts so far: CMT flat-top upper receiver Young Mfg BCG WOA 18" Rifle length gas SPR contoured barrel Bravo Co. F-marked FSB Based on this part list, can you guys foresee any problems if I choose to go with a Daniel Defense 12" LITE rail? My main concern is that a 12" rail might interfere with the installation of a FSB. Also, whether or not the FSB will allow for the addition of an OPS Inc. collar in the future. Thanks in advance. |

Which Young BCG did you go with? I'm trying to decide which to go with for my 18" rifle length (DPMS Mark 12 Barrel).
Sorry, I can't speak from any experience on the handrails. I plan on mounting a 13" troy alpha over a low pro YHM gas block. I would think you should be safe with any 12", but I can't speak from experience. |

Can anybody else shed some light before I pull the trigger on a $300 rail system that may or may not work? |

I've decided on getting the 12" rail thanks to the help I've received so far.
My main question now is... will a standard FSB allow an OPS Inc. collar and can to be installed on an 18" SPR contoured barrel with rifle length gas? Or will the bayonet lug block it from being threaded on enough? |
| Why not just put a lowpro gas block on it and an optic? I thought these spr builds were more towards percision. Seem like a waste not to put an optic on that nice WOA barrel to see what it can do. I'd personally want a flip up sight if I wanted iron sites on this type of build. |

Your OP says that you have a rifle length gas system SPR barrel. So a 12" hand guard is the correct length, doesn't matter what brand. ETA...The Ops Inc collar butts up to the gas block front sight on a MK12 MOD0 so the bayonet lug will interfere. Grind it off, it will have no function on your rifle. |
