I've built three AR's in the past...but always had the parts all together in a bag or something. I simply read the book and assembled.
Doing a build on a Noveske lower and the owner of the gun asked me WHICH DIAMETER buffer should she get...Mil-Spec or Commercial? I had NO idea. Any advantage/disadvantage one over the other? VLTOR Mod stock will be her stock of choice. FN in MT |

The buffer tube or more correctly the receiver extension is what she is talking about. Tell her to get a mil spec buffer tube (receiver extension) and the stock, of course will have to be mil spec to match. Usually you can buy the entire kit and save a little cash. Check DSG and/or Palmetto for the best deals on kits. |
