| Looking for a good fold-up bipod. I have a grip pod but I want a bipod that folds up. |
| I absolutely love Harris Bipods with a Larue mount when it comes to attaching to a rail. The bipods that pivot are well worth while in comparison to the ones that do not pivot. It might seem like it is a bit expensive (with the LaRue mount), but the mount allows me to easily and quickly swap the bipod from one weapon to another. To me that's cheaper than having to buy one bipod for each weapon. I've been there and done that. I bought a less expensive Harris (doesn't pivot) and it is pretty much dedicated for that one weapon. Then I wanted another one for a different weapon. I quickly realized that I would have been better off getting 1 good versatile bipod instead of buying multiple less expensive and less versatile bipods. |
| Harris are good. I have a couple and have never had any problems out of them. The last bipod that I bought, I didn't really feel like spending the dough on another Harris for just a range gun. I tried a Caldwell XLA that Midway had on sale. It is pretty much just like the Harris, but not built as stout. For what I needed it for (a rimfire benchrest rifle), it has worked great. I'd have no problem buying another one for similar use. |

Caldwell XLA bipod and Rock Mount bipod are likely made by the same manufacturer for all I know. They sell the Rock Mount bipods at Walmart and many other stores too.
I have a couple Rock Mount bipods. They work, but not as nice as the Harris. The Harris bipods have a wider & sturdier stance, more solid, higher quality and they do not vibrate and make a loud noise when retracting the legs. |

I like my Harris. I got the swivel 9-13" with notched legs. Also a big fan of the ADM bipod mount. Very easy to adjust (no tools required), which is nice if you want to regularly switch rifles. Mount Bipod |

For $20 more you could get the same Harris bipod from LaRue, but their QD mount is internal. Yup ... LaRue disassembles the bipods and reassembles them onto their QD mounts. That's a better deal if you ask me.
One benefit to having a QD mount separate from a bipod is that the bipod would have more versatility with the weapons it could be attached to (swivel stud or rail). Integral QD mounts will only allow it to be attached to a rail. |

Much, much easier to adjust the tension on the ADM's lever than the Larue. |
