I have ran into a snag putting my lower together.  I cannot get the selector to slide into the lower. I have never had this problem.  It usually slides right in with no problem.  It is a PSA lpk.  From what I can see the rear of the trigger seems to be sitting a little too high to allow the selector to go through. the selector fits well in the lower when the trigger is not in.  Im not sure what i need to do to get the selector in.  It will go in the first hole but doesnt lin up to go through the second. Its very close but wont quite make it and I really didnt want to force it until I asked here for a solution.

Cock the hammer.....(do not let it fly or you could damage the receiver).
Insert the selector inline with the safe position.

Push out the trigger pin. Lower the trigger.

Install safety selector.

Align trigger & install trigger pin.

Thanks a308, I'll try that. I was going to take the hammer and trigger out, install selector and the reinstall trigger and hammer.  Your idea sounds alot quicker.

This is all you need to do.
Trigger is sitting high until you cock the hammer.

I put together a lower earlier in the week and had the same issue with the PSA build kit.  I was installing the ATG trigger rather than the stock trigger and I thought that may be part of the problem.  Now I think not.

I pressed down on the selector shaft with my thumb and gently tapped the selector and it popped in.

It would seem to be easier to install the selector first, then the FCG, but then you'd have to install the buffer tube and that would be in the way as you assembled the FCG.

Oh well.

I had the same problem with my PSA LPK, had to cock the hammer and all went together.  It really is a pretty good trigger for the money.

The problem I am having is after cocking the hammer.  I have put 3 lowers together prior to this one.  I am well aware of having to cock the hammer. When I look through the selector holes there is still just a small bit of the rear of the trigger blocking the hole.  That, I have not experienced.

Did you try the trigger pin trick ?

I removed the hammer, then installed the selector, then reinstalled hammer.  It's all good now.  Thanks all
