| I'm thinking really hard about building a Mega Arms Ar with their forged upper and lower. I haven't read any negative press about them. Everyone I talk to says they build top notch stuff. I know there are some folks here who have them. What's your take? Anyone else have any other information on what makes them better than some others out there? I appreciate it. |

They're good to go. They're actually a company that builds airplane parts, and does the AR thing on the side. (Last I knew anyway. They might have opened up a pure AR branch, I'm not sure. But I remember at one time, they only did runs of AR parts every so often, and if they ran out, you had to wait until the next batch, which sometimes took awhile) I have 2 of their lowers. While I wouldn't say they're better than your average reputable AR parts maker, they do have a really nice fit/finish, if that's a concern for you. So +1 to the above poster; buy with confidence. |
| For more info now that I have a full keyboard, I bought a hand matched upper and lower and there is no slop whatsoever. I think I bought them from Rainier, but it has been a few years and several guns ago. It went together with no issues of parts fitting. Its now my primary AR, with an Armalite midlength barrel, MI 2 piece freefloat rails, and M4 style stock. I'd buy another Mega again without hesitation. It was flawless and tight and well finished, just like you would expect aircraft parts to be. |
Well I've got some gun porn for you, but I'll say the finish on megas forged uppers and lowers is badass. Compared to my other lower and upper, its unbelievable how much better the mega stuff looks. My other receivers are stag and del-ton, and there both pretty big names so its saying a lot. But here you go...

| I have done 2 builds with Mega Billet Lowers and Mega Billet Mono Uppers. As far as fit and finish go they are the best I have seen. I say if you really wanna go all out get a billet Ambi Lower and a Billet Mono Upper. If you buy used make sure you buy the Mono Gen 2 upper. An easy way to tell it is Gen 2 is that it will have quick detach ring slots near the back and front of the rail. I recommend Gen 2 over Gen 1 because it is much lighter. Goodluck and remember to post pics when you get it completed. |

Now I'm just trying to figure out what LPK to stuff inside. I want something I can bet my life on. Also like the Mega trigger, but I'm on the fence about getting it. Any thoughts on a bet-your-life LPK and trigger? |
