[ARCHIVED THREAD] - AR barrel machine file

We got a new CNC lathe at work, does anyone know where I could get the machine file for an AR-15 barrel? We have a 3d scanner, but the internal set-up on the barrel doesn't show up very well.

I doubt you'll be able to find the machine file for it there are plenty of specs available out there though. The stock you use has to be rifle quality not to mention the rifling and finish ream and extension index are not the simplest of operations.

I'm familiar with crowns and usings finishing reamers, but what is the "extension index"?

barrel extension has locking lugs has to be threaded on to the right depth for headspace and then pinned in alignment with the gas port
