Hi, I am ready for my 1st build,I have a stripped lower and need to buy a complete kit(I think),I am new to this and do not know a lot about the parts.Any suggestions on who has the best part kits,I am on a budget of around $500. I was going with AK,AR kit but saw bad reviews on them.Any help would be great.
Thanks Bier |
| To complete your lower you will need a Lower Parts Kit (LPK) which should include all the springs, pins, trigger group, pistol grip, etc. Best bet is to go to Palmetto State Armory and pick up one of their LPKs. Otherwise you'll need to buy each piece separately which will end up costing you more. |

I use only RRA LPK's... Sorry to hear that. Actually the PSA LPK mentioned in the second is a very option for the OP's budget build. Their basic LPK is only 49.95 and many are reporting better than average triggers with those kits. Also at PSA there are more LPK and build options than you will find anywhere and all at hard-to-beat prices. |

Thanks Bier Del Ton has kits under $500 all you need is a stripped lower and a kit and you will end up with a complete rifle after some easy assembly. http://www.del-ton.com/ar_15_kits_s/1.htm PSA has kits for just a bit over $500 http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/rifle-kits.html I have both companies products and am super happy with them. |

The PSA kits are great. But, this being your first build, you may want to consider the option of picking up just a lower build kit for now (like this one: http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/lower-parts/moe-lower-build-kit.html) and doing some more research before laying out for the upper since that will be your single biggest expense. And - I can't stress this enough - make sure to invest in the proper tools when putting your rig together. A nail punch and 16oz. claw hammer aren't going to cut it.
