| Can't find anything that would stop me from putting a mid length YHM Diamond Series Forearm on a newly ordered BCM Mid-Length Upper. Is there anything I need to look at replacing/adding or will it install fine? TIA |

Have you ever built an AR15 before? If not FYI, that rail requires some fairly involved gun-smithing/armoring. You need remove the Front sight base/gas block and you'll need to remove the muzzle device if there is one mounted also. Next the barrel nut needs to come off. While the barrel nuts will slide off over most brakes/flash-hiders (unless it's a pig of a muzzle device) the FSB will not.(unless it's a two piece gas block, then you just un- secure and remove it.)
The YHM hand guard should come with all parts to install it, but you will need tools. They are very nice rails, I've installed several. Just be patient, The Diamond series is a Monolithic rail...and getting that little section that bridges the jam nut timed just right to mat up to the upper perfectly can be a challenge. This is a quick no non-scene video that will give you an IDEA of whats involved. MidWayUSA FF Handguard Installation WARNING––-this is not always as easy as he makes it look, if you've never done it before. |

Nothing should stop you, but it is not a drop in like standard handguards or an M4 RAS. You will have to pull the existing barrel nut and replace it with the YHM unit, and may wish to pull the FSB to remove any existing handguard if one is installed behind the FSB. Not a difficult process, but you'll need the right tools. See the basics in this tacked thread: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_4/226782_.html
