Hey everybody, so I recently started looking into buying an AR, but after stumbling onto this forum (which is full of great info), I have decided I am going to build my own. Although I have multiple other guns, I have only shot others Ars, and this will be my first build and first AR. Just looking for input on the parts I am looking into using. Any info helps. This will be mostly for plinking maybe shooting some rabbits/ prairie dogs and SHTF. Prolly all under 200 yards I would say

So I am gonna start off with this upper:
Model 3HL from stag arms-$500
http://www.stagarms.com/product_info.php?cPath=14_23&products_id=222

Then for a lower im gonna use:
Spikes punisher stripped lower receiver $100
http://www.spikestactical.com/new/z/lower-multi-forged-punisher-bullet-markings-p-565.html
Anyone know anywhere that has these in stock? I cant find one

With this LPK:
Spikes LPK with no trigger- $40
http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XSTLPK100&name=Spike's+Tactical+Lower+Receiver+Parts+Kit+w%2f+No+Trigger%2fHammer&groupid=143
I was thinking of this one because I wanna put an ALG trigger on it, but have heard different things about spikes LPKs any advice?? And if not im gonna use this one:

Stags LPK- $50
http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XSTAGLPK&name=Stag+Arms+Lower+Parts+Kit&groupid=143

Then for a stock:
Spikes 6 position buffer tube set- $60
http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XSTSLA500R-K&name=Spike's+Tactical+6-Position+Mil.-Spec.+Buffer+tube+kit&groupid=143
magpul CTR collapsible stock- $68 ebay
http://store.magpul.com/product/MAG310/83

Extras:
Hogue grip $25
http://www.stagarms.com/product_info.php?cPath=20_35&products_id=273
Spikes battle trigger- $60
http://www.spikestactical.com/new/z/lower-parts-spikes-battle-trigger-p-425.html

ALG-ACT trigger- $65
http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=3022
I am torn at the moment if I should even change the trigger out? I am going to be using it for plinking/possible small game and Shit hits the fan. Should I spend the extra cash for a different trigger?

ambi rear sling mount $18-ebay
MBUS magpul back up sights $50-ebay
PMAG x2 $36

Any information would be much appreciated along with opinions about my selection of pieces. I am super excited to start building. Also any info on optics?

I like to use either Joeboboutfitters - http://www.joeboboutfitters.com for your Spikes LPK, and other Spike's gear like the buffer tube.   They are out of stock on the Enhanced LPK, which would include the battle trigger and ERGO grip.  Free shipping over $90.00.  Great deals on Magpul also.  Add to cart to see the true price.

Palmetto State Armory is also a good place to go for all your needs - LPK's, uppers, whatever.  Their Magpul MOE LPK's are especially good deals.  http://www.palmettostatearmory.com

Look into a LaRue buffer tube.  I just got one and it made a big difference how solid the lock-up is with my LMT SOPMOD stock. It's rock solid but still easy to change positions.

It will cost a bit more but you can't argue with quality and LaRue=Quality.

I would go with the Stag or Spikes LPK with the trigger.
