Hi guys,
I had a notion that I would mess this up and I did. My rifle is mostly Armalite with an extendable stock and a flat upper. The rear sling mount is on the bottom of the butt end is totally fixed. The front mount is part of the gas block and travels a little front to rear, but that's it. I also purchased a Troy 2 point sling. My goal is to set it up so it can be shoulder slung in the traditional marching manner AND to be able to carry it in a ready position across my chest. I guess you would call that a "patrol" carry. I am looking for suggestions on sling mounts. The "stock" configuration is obviously not going to work, but the array of types and shapes and configurations of sling mounts has me almost overwhelmed. I sure do need some advice. Photos and "sling mounts for dummies" would be appreciated. Thank you |
