I need a front sight bench block. At this time, the only immediate plans I have are to remove and reinstall a gas tube. I know it's possible to do this without a bench block but I'd rather spend a few buck to get a tool that makes it easier and less prone to mess up.

I would like an opinion on a couple different ones I've found.

Brownell's AR-15 Front Sight Bench Block

This one seems pretty popular which of course means no one has it in stock.

R Guns Barrel and Receiver Assembly Block

This one seems good too and the add capability of being able to use it for lowers doesn't hurt either.

Which one did you get? One of the ones I listed or another one (the Schuster)?

The block is nice.....however I've never felt the need for one and never had a problem.
