I'm putting together my first build. I'm going to buy a complete upper and I've been looking at BCM based on reviews, price. Here are the uppers I've been looking at. I understand the basic differences (ie. price) but I'm wondering if there is anything that is inherently better in any one over the other.

I'm primarily interested in hitting targets between 150-300 yds. I was leaning towards the SS410 models but if they dont provide any real benefit over the others i will reconsider. Lighter weight barrels are great if you plan to walk a lot and shoot little, but I prefer the heavier ones. The only option I would consider would be reducing barrel length to 14.5 inches with the pinned flash hider. Accuracy loss would be negligable, velocity loss would be slight and you would shave 1 to 1.5 inches off the total length. But if thats not a factor then stick with 16 inches. |
