Ok So I just ordered a Spike's Tactical Zombie lower ( super excited to see this lol) and am looking for parts kits and uppers. Im looking for a mid-length upper but im trying to hide the gas block with the rails. So do I need to get a carbine length then add a mid-length rail system or get the mid-length and add a rifle length rail. OR do some companies make rails to cover the gas block up. Maybe some pictures and spec on what you have for ideas would be helpful.

Thanks

Install a longer FF rail to cover the gas block.

So a carbine length is 7 inches and the midlength is nine inches so you'd want something longer than those to cover up the gas block.

the FSB would have to be cut down or use a lo-pro gas block.

So if you want a midlength you'd probably need an 11" rail to cover up the gas block.

A YHM Spectre is 9.675" inches and should cover a standard low-pro gas block (which is about 7/8"-15/16" in width) on a Carbine.. otherwise seek an 10 or 11" FF rail of some type.. For a middy gas go with 11 or 13"..
