Has anyone built a 17rem upper? What problems if any did you run into?
At the moment I'm researching bcgs my plan is to go with a 24" bull barrel probably shillen and have it chambered to my bolt for tight tolerance headspace.it will be built on a rra upper and lower with rra lpk and a timney drop in trigger assembly. Yes it will be heavy and that's what I want I love seeing red mist. I am real familiar with the 17 and have wanted one for quite awhile on the ar.platform. this build is in the planning stage now and I want to bust the first cap no later than the end of Feb. Any input is appreciated |

A response, but not an answer.
I shot a groundhog (woodchuck) with a friends bolt-action .17 Remington a few years back. It impressed the shit out of me, since I saw the red mist in the scope, because the bullet got there before there was any recoil. It was instantaneous! |
