I tried a search but no luck.
I finally ordered the upper but it comes without the bcg or charging handle. It is exactly the look I wanted. I need/want an ambi charging handle. I see that PSA has a bcg but it says "auto". Chromed lined carrier (auto) I am building a semi, so can I use this or do I have to keep looking? |

The Auto Bolt Carrier only means that it will allow you to fire FA/Burst, if your lower is already set up for it. It does NOT turn any semi-auto only lower into a selective fire lower. Thanks. I just ordered it. It brings up another question I have.
I either read or saw something about making the AR-15 into a 3 burst auto. Can this be done? Do I need to fill out forms and pay $s to the gov? One of the lowers I bought has the markings for the safe, fire and auto modes. |

No newly manufactured auto weapons for us. You have to buy an gun already registered with the ATF on the due date (what was it-1986?), do the paperwork and get the stamp after approval. |
| Depending on where you live yes 3 shot burst can be done. But you have to find the trigger group or (Auto sear as they call it ). As of 1986 no new manufactured auto sears are to be available to the public. All the sears had to registered before the deadline so... they are in great demand but with a little supply so they can cost thousands of dollars. It would make it a machine gun. They would have to be allowed in the state where you live. They have some cool factor but in reality they waste a lot of ammo. If you have thousands of dollars to just spend on Parts and Ammo then select fire is for you. |
