I was asked to do a build of a 204 Ruger for a friend and I'm looking for some info. Can I use a 223 BCG? I know the mags are the same. I'm am going to use a Large Grizzly Billit upper and a WOA 24" barrel with a Vtac hand guard. I did a search and came up with nothing on this. thanks for any help.

Yes, it uses the same bolt (and everyhting else) as a 5.56/.223 caliber AR. I have a .204 Ruger upper I built up using a Remington .204 Predator barrel and the rest of the parts are all standard 5/56/.223 AR parts....<><....:)

I built it up to try as a coyote gun but have not yet had a chance to hunt with it. The ammo is more expensive since I am not set up (yet) to reload for .204 but all I need are a set of dies. It is a good shooter but so are my .223's. If I lived in an area where long shots were common I think the .204 would outshine the .223, however here in the Northeast 200 yards is a long shot, therefore the .204 cannot be used to it's full potential....<><....:)
