I just got an ace arfx stock, It came with the rifle buffer and spring. I have a carbine length gas system,
should I reuse my old carbine spring/buffer or use the new rifle buffer/spring. thx

Use the new rifle buffer/spring.

The length of the stock dictates what type of buffer system to run, not the gas system.  If you run the carbine buffer system in the rifle length stock, you'll lock the gun up when the bolt travels too far back in the stock.

You can use the carbine buffer system if you run a spacer to take up the extra length.  Think it's RRA that sells a polymer spacer for their 9mm conversion that works like a champ in the ARFX stock with the carbine spring and buffer, ran it in mine when I had this stock.

Since yours came with the rifle buffer and spring, just run it that way, quick and easy.

Never ever fire an AR with a carbine buffer in a rifle buffer tube.  The carrier key will slam violently against the ring on the lower receiver breaking it off in fairly short order.  The length of the buffer tube has no relationship to the length of the gas system.
