How do you correctly time an A2 flash hider?  I was pretty sure you don't just screw it on, and thats it.

The slits in the flash hider face up. The flat sides of the of flash hider(area you put 3/4 wrench on) should perpendicular(90 degrees) with the ground. Simplest way I can explain it.

Double check to make sure the wrench flats are properly aligned with the slits too.

I have a particular A2 flash hider (oops, flash suppressor, LARRYG) where the flats for the wrench don't line up perfectly with the slits.  So I relied on slits for indexing.  With the slits perfectly indexed, the flats are a little bit less than perpendicular on this particular hider.   I had indexed by the flats at first and then looked at it and noticed the slits weren't indexed right.  So I indexed it by the slits and all was good.

You are using a crush washer or peel washer so you can time the FH?

Just buy an A1 suppressor and you don't have to worry about timing it.
