while installing the trigger and hammer, i dried fired a few times, felt heavy, so did the 15 min practical trigger job, cut one leg of the hammer spring down to 3/8" and bent the trigger spring legs to 20' angle. a bit lighter and crisp, but hammer still hits hard. really happy with the trigger
waiting for a holiday sale for a complete upper, looking at spending $400-450, top of the list are PSA or Delton mid/dissy w/ MOE handguards. oh, while getting the bolt release pin in, got a few tiny scratches on the receiver, what kind of touch up can i use? and i don't have a 1/16" hex key, so couldnt install the set screw on the MOE trigger guard, any other way to install it? ty |
You'll have a hard time finding a new complete upper for less than $399.

That or go get a gunsmith screw driver set or some allen keys and call it a day. |

i've never had any need for an 1/16 hex, i do have a few larger sized hex wrenches, just don't have an 1/16 one. while researching how to build a lower, none of the how to's i read/watched mentioned one. i just have some basic tools in the garage, hammer, a few wrenches, screwdrivers, drill bit set.
it's no big deal, its fairly secure as is.(ty balloo for the offer). just wanted to know if there was any alternate ways to install it. i may just order a spring and buffer when i order the upper. (ty barman for suggestion) |
