| Hey quick question. I currently have a colt 6920 with the collapsible stock and H2 buffer. I have it pinned because I live in NY. I want to switch to the arfx entry fixed stock which is 7.25" in lenth. Can I use my current spring and heavy buffer from my colt and just simply unscrew the collapsible stock and screw on the arfx entry level stock? Or do I need to replace the h2 buffer and spring with some sort of shorter buffer? I have been reading about this for a few hours and the water is muddier now. Thanks. |

Shows you need the rifle length buffer tube (receiver extension) and the rifle length buffer & spring. |

wait.....you did say you're using the ARFX-E right
this is what it says for that stock: ARFX Entry stock. This stock is only 7.25" long without recoil pad; yet is strong enough for its intended purpose "Close Quarters Battle." CQB usually involves heavy armor and the need for a stock that can be used to breech light doors or in hand to hand combat. Uses CAR length buffer and spring (not included). Special receiver extension tube (is included), Sling swivel, foam overtube and choice of .5" or 1.0" recoil pad are included. Length 7.25". L.O.P.=10.45" (without recoil pad ) Weight: 265g ( 9.7 oz) ARFX-E Stocks (smaller entry model) $99.00 includes buttpads and sling swivels ...so it looks like you have to use your current carbine buffer and spring, not a rifle set up as previously suggested |

I just found this out also. It all just came together and I came back to edit my post so others were not mislead. You are correct. I have a carbine length buffer ( approx 3 inches in length) and spring already due to having the collapsible stock set up. So I am gtg with this arfx entry stock which requires the carbine length buffer and spring I already have.
If I wanted a standard A2 length stock I would actually have to buy a new rifle length buffer (around 5 or 6 inches in length) and spring for it. Thanks for the heads up. |
