My first AR build was with my dad. It consisted of a Bushmaster lower, jewell trigger installed with a Badger Barrel upper. All in all this AR being slightly more than in weight as of my M1 Garrand. This AR is meant for competition. As this would be awkward as a practical AR i was planning on build my own heres my idea:
Spikes Tactical Lower standard kit with Punisher emblem no stock : $249.95 Rock River Arms upper 6.8 with a chrome lined barrel and gas block sight base: approx $600 Magpul ACS stock mil spec: 134.99 Optics: still deciding but more than likely an ACOG 6.8 with green horseshoe reticle : expensive (not practical at present time) My question is there better lowers and uppers for the same price. Main reason i like the Spikes is due to that emblem its boss no matter what u think and the RRA upper due to its cost that ive seen on the market. Now i know alot of you that will see this is going to be saying oh thats too expensive go with the 5.56. Let me assure you a seperate upper would be purcahsed down the road in 5.56. Im striclty talking 6.8. Its in my opinion a better round in urban enviroments that well placed take down shots are needed of SHTF. Please give me your opinions of all any suggestions would be great but remember im on a strict income so i would like to stay in this ballpark within $100 on each priced item. Happy Shooting |
