You RUINED your gun. You'll need to buy a replacement. Of course to express my sympathy, you can ship it to me and I will properly dispose of it for you. |

HAHAHAH! Nice Tango...
Check your low profile block...I have heard of people plugging one end and blowing air into the gas tube to find the sweet spot. I would check a few mags to make sure, but it sounds like the gas block is the issue. Ahhh, the fun of not having a pinned gas block. I wish people would make some descent gas blocks with pins. I always buy the barrels with them so I can remove them if I need to. ETA: I just saw a friend the other day that took a handguard cap and cut a relief so it would fit around the barrel. He would set the hanguard cap in place, and then set the gas block. When done, he would slip the handguard cap back off. Pretty neat idea. |

What type of low profile gas block? If you are using drop in handguards like the MOE ones for instance, a set screw type low profile gas block may shift forward from the delta ring pressure.
If that's the case, I would recommend you use a clamp on sty;e that allows for a lot of clamping force. Ideally you would just chop the pinned FSB you have so you do not have to worry about it shifting or the gas port alignment. |

Also did the gas block move? I had an issue with cycling on my 7.62x25 upper and it turned out to be the low profile gas block moving after a few rounds. My solution was to back the set screws out, dimple the barrel where they needed to go, and then put it back on and crank them down. So far so good. I agree, sounds like a gas port alignment problem
