I was looking at Black Hole Weaponry and they have upper\BCG's that are "internally railed".  Looking at the picture I can see two rods on either side of the inside of the upper which go into corresponding slots on the BC. they are more than double the normal BCG price.  My question is is it worth it?  It seems like, ot might keep the BCG more inline with the upper.  But it could also be another friction point.  Has anyone used these?  What are the benefits/drawbacks.  Does it extend the service life?  Are they worth that much extra money?

It is supposed to be THE answer for bolt carrier tilt in piston uppers.

Ah, I see how that could help in that application.  So it really would be of no use for gas operated uppers.

The BCG it comes with definitely wouldn't.  If you look at the pics you can see that there is no gas key.   Just an integral shoulder for the piston to act against.  You'd have to have a standard BCG machined to work with the rails if you wanted to go DI.
