Question for the hive,
Aside from the Tubb rifle (T2K) which costs over $5000.  Does anyone make a true bolt action upper for an AR lower?  Primarily I am looking at an AR10 upper, however if I could find even one, I would start with an AR15.
My idea is to build a paycheck-by-paycheck precision rifle that accepts high-capacity mags.  I already have a stripped DPMS AR10 lower and a complete Sundevil AR15 lower.   I have looked at the side chargers (Stag, Alexander, ASA, &, LAR) however they are not exactly what I want.
In the back I want to totally remove the AR buffer/tube/butt stock, and replace it with some type of fixed (Monte Carlo) rifle butt stock; in the front I want to attach the bipod to the magwell, that way the barrel is truly free floated.
I have looked at, and thought about starting with, the new Mossberg MVP, however it is on severe backorder and thereby unattainable.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for all replies.
